Since October 2008, Strathmore University has been putting up buildings that will increase its capacity from 2,350 to 4,350 seats by adding 22,000 square metres to its built area – more than double the current 20,190 square metres. The new buildings are designed and built using the latest “green technologies”. Strathmore has applied for LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) certification from the USA for the new buildings.
